Privacy policy

How we handle your personal data when you contact us or book with us, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).

This policy has been updated with the relevant registered business details.

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you contact us, we may process the following data:

  • Contact details: name, phone number and/or email, when you write to us via WhatsApp, email or the booking engine.
  • Booking details: stay dates, number of guests and, where applicable, payment data, which is handled directly by Smoobu and its payment provider (Stripe/PayPal), not by us directly.
  • Browsing data: if we activate Google Analytics or a similar tool in the future, this will be disclosed through the corresponding cookie notice.

3. Purpose of processing

  • Manage your information request or booking.
  • Communicate with you before, during and after your stay (for example, check-in instructions).
  • Comply with legal obligations in the tourism sector (guest registration with law enforcement authorities, when required).

4. Legal basis

The processing of your data is based on the performance of the pre-contractual or contractual relationship arising from your booking request, and on your consent when you voluntarily write to us via WhatsApp, email or social media.

5. Who we share your data with

We use Smoobu GmbH as our booking management platform and online payment engine. Smoobu may process your booking and payment data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your data for the duration of the contractual relationship (your stay) and, afterwards, for the legally required periods (for example, tax and guest registration obligations).

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to lacasetadarnes@gmail.com. You may also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.
