Arnes

A charming village

Arnes is one of the twelve municipalities in the Terra Alta region. Sitting at 508 metres above sea level and surrounded by spectacular scenery, the village rises on a hill by the Algars river.

Its municipal area, covering more than 42 km², forms part of the Els Ports natural environment, making it an ideal destination for nature and hiking lovers. The Algars and Estrets rivers run through this land, creating unique spots and natural pools such as the Ullal de la Rosa.

Historical heritage

Arnes' Renaissance town hall

One of the village's most notable buildings is Arnes' town hall, considered one of the earliest Renaissance buildings in Catalonia. Built in 1584 by Joan Vilabona de Queretes, it's a must-see to discover the area's history and architecture.

Els Ports Natural Park

Mountains, trails, forests and rivers form a perfect landscape for outdoor activities. A true haven for hiking, swimming in crystal-clear waters, or simply unplugging in nature.

The Matarraña is one of the most charming regions in Aragon. Located in the northeast of the province of Teruel, this area stands out for its Mediterranean landscapes, medieval villages and remarkable natural and cultural richness.

Amid mountains, olive groves, vineyards and crystal-clear rivers, it offers the perfect setting to unwind. Towns like Valderrobres, Beceite, Calaceite and La Fresneda preserve valuable historical heritage, with cobbled streets and charming squares.
